I have decided to enter the 4th Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge from Kim Rosas over at Dirty Diaper Laundry. Basically the way it works is you pledge to use only flats (with a few exceptions) for a week, and handwash and hang-dry them for a week.
If you follow Dirty Diaper Laundry for any period of time, you will quickly learn that Kim is very passionate about Giving Diapers, Giving Hope. Giving Diapers, Giving Hope is a program from GroVia that helps provide cloth diapers to low-income families. They operate only on donations. The challenge is to help cloth diapering families become familiar with flats and covers (pretty much the cheapest cloth diapering option out there), and then in turn educate other families so that they know about the options they have other then disposables.
I entered as a blogger, so in order to participate, I have blog. 🙂 So be sure to stay tuned May 11-17 for daily posts on my journey to using flats! And if you are interested in entering yourself, just click the graphic for all the info and rules. They are also links to helpful articles and videos. 🙂
